The water pressure in a hydronic boiler shouldn't be over 12- to 15-psi. It should have only enough pressure to raise the water a few feet above the top of the highest point in the piping system. A 12-psi setting will lift water 28' above the fill valve. A 15-psi setting will lift the water to 34'.
Jul 04, 2006 · A common cause of this boiler cycling, can be too high a pressure on the cold water (bearing in mind that the boiler restricts hot pressure to 2.5/3.0 bar). The excess cold pressure causes the thermostat in the shower valve to pulse, which leads to the boiler firing on/off as hot water demand rises & falls.
Boiler Circulation Problems | Troubleshooting Hydronic Water Loops. Some pumps have a linkage or coupling device. This device connects the motor to the bearing assembly where the impeller is located. The impeller pushes the water through the pipe and some pumps do not have coupling devices but are direct drive.
Sulzer’s extensive product portfolio is designed to meet the most demanding hydraulic coverage requirements and for all types of liquids, making it ideal for challenging pumping, agitation, and mixing operations in stock preparation, PM approach system, broke system, white water system, vacuum system, condensate system, and shower water system processes.

The shower will run off mains pressure. If you mains pressure is good enough you should have no problems with the shower through a mixer tap. If you want to retain the hot water tank then you would need a system boiler. Go for Boiler with new DHW Cylinder, You will never be happy with a COMBI.
Apr 24, 2013 · Thanks Leo, there is vaillant combi boiler and should have used that for the shower or dose the boiler have ann bearing on them not fitting a mixer shower. Also should I point out that they should have taken the cold water from tank on the roof and the hot water from the combi boiler.
Boilers should typically have around 1 bar of pressure. If your boiler pressure is too high, perform these simple tasks to bring it down to the right level. 24¦7 Home Rescue
I've read conflicting reports as to whether a modern combi boiler is man enough to fuel a couple of shower simultaneously. our mains water pressure is extremely good (if that has a bearing) cheers
Are you sure the shower is running off the combi boiler? If not, the pressure drop when someone turns on the water can trigger the low flow sensor in the shower and it cuts power. Posted 8 years ago
Typical operating temperature settings on a boiler call for a Low temperature (boiler cut-in) between 120 and 160 °F. Typical operating temperatures on a hydronic boiler call for a high temperature (boiler cuts off) of 180-200 °F. Over 200 degrees F. we're at risk of spilling at the pressure temperature relief valve.
If you want to increase the flow, buy a bigger boiler, or turn the water temperature down on the boiler. Your combi boiler is about 3x better than the best electric shower you can buy. A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

Ideally, the combi boiler flow rate for a good shower should be at least 12 - 15 litres a minute. The flow rate simply refers to how much water can pass through the appliance to feed taps and showers once the boiler is working. Choosing a powerful combi boiler with a good flow rate will help you to optimise hot water pressure around your home.
Combi boiler & Shower problem. We have a Mira mixer shower running of the combi boiler, it will run warm when you turn the temperature from cold to hot. All ready and good, you jump into the shower then suddenly it'll decide to go cold, luke warm or hot in random order It will do this 80-90% of the time whenever someone goes for a shower
Dec 30, 2015 · A mixer valve shower can be fed direct from a combi boiler, or from a high pressure unvented hot water tank. It’s also worth bearing in mind that it has fewer working parts and no electric circuit boards, so typically last longer (as there’s less to go wrong).
Feb 27, 2012 · 5 Answers. Depending on the pressure from your kitchen tap ( cold water ) that is your mains pressure. that is what you will get from hot water on combi boiler. you might be better to fit new conventional boiler and install a twin impellor pump to give you greater pressure at shower.
How To Increase Water Pressure In Your Shower. Since the flow is controlled by the time it takes to heat the water to the required temperature, whenever someone runs the tap in the kitchen, also fed from the rising main, or when the cold water storage tank needs replenishing, water pressure will also drop.
The pressure of a shower connected to this system depends on the distance from the bottom of the tank in the attic to the shower head — known as the ‘head of water’. The greater the distance, the higher the water pressure, and it is recommended that this distance should be between 3-4m for adequate pressure.
Mar 23, 2010 · A standard electric shower has a cold water feed only. Therefore the new boiler pressure has no bearing on being able to install one. You would need a new power feed to the bathroom via 6 or 10mm cable depending on what power rating shower you want.
Your combi boiler can be losing pressure for a number of reasons. Pressure loss may be caused from a leak in the pressure relief valve, an issue in the expansion vessel, air in your system, or a leak in the heating pipework itself. In this article, we give you a few options that you can do on your own, before you call a licensed HVAC technician.

Combi boilers heat cold water on demand I.e if you're in shower and DP runs the tap in the kitchen you will lose your temperature. You can overcome this by using a thermostatic shower valve. This regulates the temperature to the shower. I'd be more worried about the water pressure turning in a trickle. Perhaps an electric shower with a pump
Hot water boiler systems are equipped with a pressure gauge and an automatic pressure reducing valve that will add water to the system if the pressure drops. Despite the pressure reducing valve, owners should be familiar with the standard PSI of their hot water boiler system and should check the pressure reading regularly.
In this article you can get a clear picture on the boiler feed water pump that is multistage centrifugal pumps and type of seal used in it. As the mechanical seals are normally used in the boiler feed water pump because it develops a high pressure as it has to feed the water to the boiler.
Now hold a bucket of water level with the top of your head. Tip it over. The water has almost no pressure. But the flow is ten litres in half a second. You can get reasonable pressure from a shower at low flow by having a small spray head.
bearing pressure boiler for shower | ZOZEN Boiler - bearing pressure boiler for shower zg boiler efficien. bearing pressure boiler for shower technology Boiler pressure central heating hot water pressure Boiler pressure is the pressure the hot water runs at in a sealed central heating system, including the room radiators, heated towel rails and connecting pipe work.
I had to re-pressurise the boiler a couple of weeks ago and MHS stated that it shouldn't be running at more than 1.1 bar - does this have any bearing on the pressure achievable at the shower head or is it just a red herring? Thanks in anticipation, Rob
Combi boilers are regarded for providing the most reliable and high-pressure water supply, and can be combined with a shower mixer to up the amount of hot water available on demand. They are highly configurable when it comes to pressure, with most offering 1-5 bar pressure settings.
The water has almost no pressure. But the flow is ten litres in half a second. You can get reasonable pressure from a shower at low flow by having a small spray head. If you put a big drencher head on it, the water would dribble out, even though the amount of water might be the same.
Mixer shower and combi boiler problems. It could be a lack of flow at the head – try it again with the head off. Possible a shower mixing problem – water pressures should be pretty much the same for H+C on a combi, so doubtful to be that. If you have the same h+C cycling on the bath tap, then suspect a fault with the boiler.
I want a new condensing combi boiler powerfull enough to provide 20L per min to our power shower. Which when I measured it filled a 10l bucket in 30.8 seconds on main shower. The water pressure is good and fills the cold tank as fast as the monster shower empties it.
In a gravity fed system your shower water pressure is governed by the difference in height between your header tank in the loft and shower head. This could be a as low as half a metre which only provides 0.05 bar of water pressure.
A mains pressure combination boiler is suitable for electric, digital and mixer showers. If you’ve got a plentiful supply of hot water then you may prefer a mixer shower, it has a powerful flow and will give you more of a boost than an electric shower.
First of all drop the pressure on your boiler to 1.5 bar maximum when it is cold by bleeding one of the radiators until enough water has passed to lower it. Upping the pressure on your boiler will have no bearing at all with the pressure on your shower.
